About Randy O’Donnell

As an employee of his family’s delicatessen and catering business, or as an entrepreneur, to a specialist in franchise operations and sales of a major franchisor, Randy joins The Prakas Group with over 30 years of valued experience.

Randy grew up in Stamford, Connecticut, where from a very early age, the foundation for his future and his love of the food industry began when his parents opened the Reddi Rooster, a very successful, award winning, Italian American style delicatessen and catering business for over 25 years.

In 1977, Randy moved to Boca Raton Florida, where using his hands on experience and educational background in culinary arts, foodservice management and construction apprenticeship programs from the J.M. Wright Technical School, he and his brother opened and successfully operated, Wizard’s Ice, one of the first ice cream and yogurt shops in the Boca area.

In 1983 Randy joined the CARVEL ICE CREAM Corporation, where for 13 years he worked in areas of Franchise retail, wholesale, supermarket and foodservice sales. He successfully managed multi unit franchise operations for Florida and Puerto Rico which included design, build out, licensing and lease renewals as well as franchise location and site approvals.

After leaving Carvel in 1996 Randy returned to his roots as an entrepreneur with a partnership in 2 Carvel stores in Palm Beach County.

A Licensed Real Estate Agent, Randy joins The Prakas Group using his diverse background in the independent and franchise foodservice industry as a Franchise Restaurant Sales Specialist. With his vast knowledge in the restaurant business, we feel that Randy adds a new dimension to The Prakas Group in franchise tenant representation and franchise restaurant sales. He is aggressively working hand in hand to bring national companies to South Florida under the Prakas flag.
